As the official NSW Government Seniors Week event host, the Australian Tai Chi Institute invites all members of the community to attend free Tai Chi classes throughout the region. Supported by Diabetes Australia, members of the Australian Tai Chi Institute travel throughout the region promoting the Health benefits of Tai Chi.
Cheryl Lee is a regular guest speaker and supporter of NSW Hunter New England Health, and is involved in research studies with St. George Hospital Sydney and supports Diabetes Australia.
Arthritis Foundations worldwide support the Tai Chi for Health programs as taught by the Australian Tai Chi Institute.
John Hunter Hospital, Hunter Renal Resource Centre, Kidney Health Australia, Life Without Barriers, stroke groups, Cancer Council, the Awabakal medical service , numerous schools and pre-schools are all supported by Cheryl Lee and the Australian Tai Chi Institute.
We are also involved in the Newcastle University Staff Wellness Program.
With the dedicated fundraising efforts and continued generosity of Cheryl Lee and members of the Australian Tai Chi Institute we are proud to contribute to Ronald McDonald House and Variety Children’s Charities in the Hunter, as well as The Salvation Army, Steel Magnolia, Beyond Blue and many others.
We are also committed to supporting our often forgotten animal friends with donations to Hunter Animal Rescue.
